Q. How to be an Avon Rep?

Q. Does it cost me anything to join Avon?

A. There is an administration charge from Avon of £15 when you begin, but this is split over the first two campaigns so is only £7.50 on each campaign. This will be on your first two invoices which accompany the deliveries.

Q. How much will I earn with Avon?

A. As you are self employed your earnings are spoken of as Avon discount, not commission. When you place a total order of £78 Avon will give you a 20% discount on your order, so you effectively keep 20%. When your order is over £148 then your discount will be 25%. Basically, the higher your total order the higher your earnings. Sell the products, place an order, receive and deliver your products, collect money from the customer, pay your invoice from Avon and the money left in your hand is yours

Q. Do I have to pay for deliveries or returns?

A. Avon deliveries and returns are free. These are every 3 weeks. If you place an additional order outside of normal dates there may be a delivery charge.

Q. How / when do I pay Avon for my order?

A. You can pay debit card online or by phoning fast track / cheque or in the Post Office. It is important to pay your invoice in good time! You have 13 days from the date of the invoice. If you do not pay your invoice you will not receive your next delivery. If there are any problems with this then contact me or Avon immediately to find out what to do next. If you ignore the invoice then charges mount up quickly so please always contact Avon as soon as you can.

Q. Where will I work, will I have a territory?

A. You can just sell cosmetics to friends, family and work colleagues or you can sell Avon in the traditional way from ‘door to door ‘ (territory-which will be roads local to where you live)

Q. How often do I have to place an order?

A. The Avon brochure changes every 3 weeks, you will have specified dates as to when you need to place your orders and when it will be delivered to you. If you do not order for 3 consecutive campaigns Avon will consider you to be an inactive rep and remove you from the system.

Q. What is the procedure of ordering the products?

A. There are currently three ways of ordering; post, phone and internet. Using the internet is by far the easiest and most secure way of ordering and if you don’t have access anywhere it can be worth using one at the library, internet café etc. I will show you exactly how to place your first order so don’t worry at all about this!

Q. How much are the Catalogues?

A. Brochures: £3.15 for 5 brochures (order 1 packs)
£4.22 for 10 brochures (order 2 packs) £4.86 for 15 brochures (order 3 packs)
£0.48 for each additional pack of 5 brochures

Q. What is an Avon Sales Leadership?

When you have built your business and can ensure a minimum order of £144 each campaign you may feel like a new challenge and I can train you to be a Sales Leader. You will build and train your own team and increase your earnings.

Q. What support can I expect to get as a Sales Leader?

A. You will receive full support and training from me. I will accompany you on the early appointments to sign up your new reps so you can watch me and develop your own style of Sales Leadership.I will provide you with all the materials you need for your first two campaigns of Sales Leadership. Please ask me for further details and I shall be more than happy to tell you more.

Q. How much time do I have to spend?

A. You choose when, where and how to work. It is precisely this flexibility that is so appreciated by the Sales Rep. It gives you the opportunity to plan your time and to spend as much time as you want with Avon.
